Mozilla Thunderbird

To verify/update settings for Mozilla Thunderbird, first right click on your email address in the left side menu, and select “Settings”

Click on “Server Settings”, and verify the following settings

If the “Server Type” is “POP Mail Server”:

  • Server Name: mail.702mx.com
  • Port: 995
  • User Name: email@domain.com (e.g. test@702com.net)
  • Connection security: SSL/TLS
  • Authentication method: Normal password

If the “Server Type” is “IMAP Mail Server”:

  • Server Name: mail.702mx.com
  • Port: 993
  • User Name: email@domain.com (e.g. test@702com.net)
  • Connection security: SSL/TLS
  • Authentication method: Normal password

Then, click on “Outgoing Server (SMTP)” on the left, and verify/change the following settings

  • Server Name: mail.702mx.com
  • Port: 465
  • Connection security: SSL/TLS
  • Authentication method: Normal password
  • User Name: email@domain.com (e.g. test@702com.net)

Click “OK”, and then click “OK” again.

You should now be able to send/receive mail.
