Hello,
Some 702 customers, may have some outgoing mail settings that are not compatible with the new mail server we’ll be migrating to on 10/24/19. The new settings below will work with both our current mail configuration, as well as the new one. This walkthrough will verify both incoming and outgoing server settings.
** Note: If you are using Windows Mail (for Windows 10), it is suggested that you wait to change these settings until after the migration, if you’re experiencing any issues. Most settings for Windows Mail will work with the new server, and changing settings can cause temporary sync issues. If you are having issues starting on 10/24, please try changing your account settings or calling our Help Desk.
When you check your settings, There are a number of options that will work. If you are currently using one of the POP3/POP3S ports, which are 110 or 995, please configure your client with these settings:
Incoming: POP3S (port 995) - SSL/TLS - NO SPA/Secure Password Authentication
If your incoming server is listed as IMAP/IMAPS or is using port 143 or 993, please configure your client with these settings:
Incoming: POP3S (port 993) - SSL/TLS - NO SPA/Secure Password Authentication
For outgoing email, you might have port 25, port 465, or port 587. We recommend you use the following configuration:
-
Outgoing: SMTPS (port 465) - SSL/TLS - NO SPA/Secure Password Authentication (Use same authentication as incoming mail server)
Note, not all options here are available for every client. You can find client specific settings in more posts below.
